Im VCP Forum gibt‘s ein Script für VCP, was etwas sicherer ist, als das bisherige.
I created a script for the adaption of GEN1 Audi FPK (VC) Sport Layout activation using VCP. This is safer than the script provided by the VCP File Manager.
This script provides you with an all in one solution for FPK Sport Layout activation and features
- Check of SW version of controller 17, depending on the part number provided by the ECU
- Automatic activation of lap timer feature, as it's required for the change
- Creates a backup of the important EEPROM bytes
- Reads and displays the current value
- Allows the user to select which mode should be activated
- Resets the ECU on write success
- Various safety nets
Changelog:
r1 (28.01.2023) - initial build
r2 (30.01.2023) - disabled SW version check, added lap timer enablement, added hint for layout changes
r3 (03.02.2023) - enabled SW version check (warning only), don't execute when not required, disabled writing of fingerprint
Remarks:
The script automatically creates an EEPROM backup. This is currently stored under <VCPDIRECTORY>\debug\eeprom\in the format "<VIN>_stg17_sportlayout.hex" and will contain the two magic bytes, while only the first one is changed.
Disclaimer:
The script has been tested and I put much effort in making it as user friendly as possible. However I am not responsible if anything goes wrong. The script however will not continue, if it the EEPROM data is not as expected to prevent issues.
