Hi Guys! I got a problem during the upgrade and lost my card now! Need urgent help.

My FW is HN + _EU_AU3G_K0900 and the map was 6.22.4

I just wanted to update the map, but not the FW. So I downloaded the map data 6.25.3 and followed the instructions. That's what I did.

1. Uninstall the old activator with the script
2. Database deleted in the green menu
3. Nav HDD partition was deleted in the green menu

When I started updating the map in the red menu, I see in one step this weird "?" to AUDI_MMI3G_ECE folder. I know this is the fold consists of all the big files that should be copied. It seems that I can not go into the folder and manually select all these data files. However, I went to the update, and no wonder the card was not copied.

Now I have no card! Did I do something wrong? It was pretty fluent when I updated the FW and map of the factory versions 2 years ago. I can not figure out what went wrong this time. Please help my friends!

Go to Hidden Menu, also named Green Menu (must be activated with a script), swdl-->check user defined mod.
Press Car+Back, and you can use user defined installation in Red Menu.

For the next time: Do not delete map and partition!

Thank you so much, man. You are my hearo today! I just followed the PDF instruction where they said this is good to do. I would not have done it if I knew this will do anything wrong in the map.

I got a follow-up question, after I enable the "user-defined mode" in green menu. When I do the map update in red menu what are the folders and sub folders I should choose? It seems like not all of them are needed but I do not have a clue.

Check all and Sub Folder with ? and Y. Do not check boot loader! (I think it is not possible anyway).

BTW: If you delete map and partition, the write-read head can stay in park position
and stay there! Then you have a big problem!
Notice: Never delete anything!

Hallo,

ich habe wie schon mehrfach vorherige Versionen die FW geupdatet und wollte nunmehr die neuen Karten raufspielen. Läuft zunächst auch alles wie gewohnt bis zu "Start Update" durch. MMI rebooted und dann kommt ein Fehlercode 8 --> Abbrechen.
Unter Setup MMI ist zu sehen: Medienversion: HN+R_EU_AU_P1001, Navi Datenbank Version: .... Nichts also.
Navigation wird initialisiert, wenn man auf NAV geht. Kommt aber nichts.
Gelöscht habe ich nichts. Was ist passiert? Irgendeine Idee? Danke schon mal!

Nimm eine sandisk Class 10 oder eine Samsung. Die anderen machen oft probleme

Hatte zunächst eine Platinum 64 GB Class 10 benutzt. Jetzt eine Sandisk 32 GB Class 10. Läuft auch tatsächlich durch. Er zeigt aber nach wie vor keine Datenbank an und auf NAV lädt er ohne dass etwas passiert. Hat noch einer eine Idee? Sieht ja so aus, als wäre keine Datenbank da. Unter Setup MMI ist nach wie vor zu sehen: Medienversion: HN+R_EU_AU_P1001, Navi Datenbank Version: .... Nichts also.
