Der Treiberpatch bei Sunray ist so simpel, den könnte man notfalls sogar mit sed -i direkt auf der Box durchführen.
Es handelt sich um 2x8 Bytes die zu suchen sind und von denen jeweils 4 Bytes zu 00 (Das ist bei mips ein NOP) gepatcht werden.

Sunray macht da supportmäßig einen Scheiß, das machen allein gjstroom und ramiMAHER.

Bei den Sunray clones kommt das böse Erwachen, wenn Vu+ eine weitere Gemeinheit einbaut, denn da Sunray nichts macht und die dreamoem-Jungs einfach nur die bekannte Bombe rauspatchen kann es da jederzeit durch einen neuen Treiber knallen.
Von der Solo SE gibt es bisher übrigens in der realen Welt auch nur Lippenbekenntnisse.

Das ist der Nachteil am automatisierten Patchen. Ewig wird das nicht gut gehen, VU wird sich da mit Sicherheit etwas ausdenken.

e2fix ist übrigens nur ein Symlink auf opkg und macht nichts anderes als

opkg --force-reinstall --force-depends install enigma2

Es gibt noch einen zweiten Symlink auf opkg, nämlich "e2up", was wiederum das selbe macht wie

opkg update && opkg upgrade

Nur daß halt in beiden Fällen "opkg" in Wirklichkeit mein Wrapper ist, auch wenn Du die Befehle so eingibst wie hier gezeigt.
clonify (zum automatischen Patchen von Images) und opkg-wrapper sind inzwischen 26 kB an Scripts ...
26 kB klingt nicht nach viel, aber bei einem Script ist das schon eine ganze Menge.

Immerhin weiß ich jetzt, daß das hier funktioniert:

Die Erkennung auf trotz Schutz veränderte Treiber (Prüfsumme) oder neue Kernel habe ich irgendwann mal eingebaut, ohne daß ich es je testen konnte.


PS: Ich hoffe die Box ist auch wirklich an dieser Stelle stehengeblieben ...

Ja ist sie.
Aber angeblich war es nur ein Skin Update.
Mache mal auf einer anderen Box ein Update, um zu sehen, was wirklich geändert wird.

Die müssen mindestens noch am busybox gedreht haben.

Der erste Stapel Fehlermeldungen sind Fummeleien am Kernel, die am Ende fehlende Busybox-Applets.

An den beiden kann es eigentlich nicht liegen.

In dem Log, das zu dem Fehler gehört, waren ja auch allein im sichtbaren Teil schon doppelt so viele ipks ...

VTi ist und bleibt ein seltsames Image.
Laut d2zs Tests geht's ja das eine Mal nicht und probiert man es danach auf derselben Box nochmal geht es auf einmal wieder.

Scheint übrigens gar kein Clone-Problem zu sein, im OpenATV-Forum finden sich schon Ex-VTi-User ein, die auch Probleme mit den letzten Updates hatten und wechseln wollen.
