Support RNS 315 Firmware?

Yes. The same. Mine is 3C0 035 279 X, SW 0020, HW H40.
I can't pair phone. Also can not erase old phones from memory and can't restore it to factory settings.
There are also few cases on the internet but no answer :

Also one same at France forum.
Service told me that there are 2 problems:
1) Coding. We need to do coding to make car and multimedia to work good together;
2) Hardware problem. SW 0020, HW H40 is old and bad hardware unit which can be paired only whith old androids. We can't do firmware update on this model they said to me.
I don't bolive at the second explanation becouse my unit is 04/16 which isn't old for RNS 315. Your problem is also confirmation for my doubt becouse your same phone worked before and now it doesn't.
I think it is dome kind of bug in unit software which can be made.
Is your RNS 315 came factory whith car or you upgrade it?
Did you make any codings in VCDS about navigation?
Do you have separate AUX (not in unit but separate)?

I am going to update firmware at 0270.
I think that's going to be solution.

Exactly the same here for the specs. Mine is from 26/13, so 26th week of 2013.
Dealer also said that no firmware update is available for this RNS-315.

I'd be glad to know whether the update to 0270 changes anything for you.

Erst 263 dann 270 könnte funktionieren. Die die 0010 (0020) sind sehr alt, wie kommt die auf ein 2016er RNS 315?

Seller told me that it is from Passat. I supose from cc becouse b7 was made until 2015.
You think it's better first upgrade to 263 and then to 270?
Can this SW 0020 firmware be upgraded?
On France forum there is a list of every RNS 315 and firmwares for update. They said that 3C0 035 279 X need to be updated to 0270 and that last letter is the most important about all numbers and letters.
What are diffrences in hardware in this H40 version about bluetooth?
If my multimedia is made in 2016 year, why it is old model unit?

Diese Geräte kann man damit von der 263 auf 270 aktualisieren, dein Gerät mit der 3C0035279X ist nicht enthalten. Finde auch keines mit einem X am Ende.
Alt nur deswegen weil ab 2015 die 500 oder 501 drauf war.

Das Teil ist so alt, da ist jede Stunde recherche verlorene Lebenszeit.
Entweder für 200€ bei ebay Kleinanzeigen ne ander Unit kaufen wenns Original sein soll.
Oder ein MIB2 PQ Gerät und bissel basteln.
Oder ein anderes Navi aus dem Aftermarket was halt dann nicht mehr original ist...

So if it is part which was changed by VW and made in 2016 (or in 2013 in flepp4ever case), it can't hase old hardware from 2011 ?
They just put old software in it to be ok whith the "old" car?

Wo käme man an die 0011er? Könnte man die über die 0020 flashen?
Mich interessiert an sich kein Update, sondern dass die Freisprechanlage einfach wieder funktioniert.

I got information that downgrade (from 0020 to 0011) isn't possible.
We need to delete old phones somehow whith diagnostic (ODIS or something) and connect new phone from the dashboard.
