Da es im moment noch keine 3.60 Keys gibt, sieht es ziemlich Dunkel bei diesem und kommende Games aus.

Die bisherigen Lösungen, für Games die höhere FW voraussetzen, funktioniert hier nicht.

Hoffentlich wird diese Tatsache, trotz dem Druck von Sony, die Arbeit an einer Lösung (even. CFW) vorantreiben.

Edit: so wie es aussieht, das selbe übrigens auch bei Operation Flashpoint- Red River.

In diversen Foren wurde jetzt der Release eines neuen USB Dongles angekündigt, welches (unter anderem) PSX Game und Video (BR+DVD) Support verspricht !


Hier ein paar wichtige Stellen aus der Bedienungsanleitung:

Playing Blu-Ray backups
1. Start Cobra USB Manager from the XMB.
2. Press square to change to Blu-Ray mode.
3. Choose the backup from the list and press X. You need a disc inserted. Any type of disk will
work.
4. Cobra USB Manager will mount the backup and exit. You can play your movie backup using the
XMB player.
5. When you are done playing the backup, you can start Cobra USB Manager again if you wish to
unload the backup.

Playing DVD backups
1. Start Cobra USB Manager from XMB.
2. Press square twice to change to DVD mode.
3. Choose the backup from the list and press X. You need a disc inserted. Any type of disk will
work.
4. Cobra USB Manager will mount the backup and exit. You can play your movie backup using the
XMB player.
5. When you are done playing the backup, you can start Cobra USB Manager again if you wish to
unload the backup.

Playing PSX backups
1. Start Cobra USB Manager from XMB.
2. Press square three times to change to PSX mode.
3. Choose the backup from the list and press X. You need a disc inserted. Any type of disk will
work.
4. Cobra USB Manager will mount the backup and exit. You can start the psx game backup from
the XMB.

Playing PSX backups in CD-R
Cobra USB allows PSX backups in CD-R discs to be transparently started from XMB without the need of
Cobra USB Manager. However, PSX support must be installed first if it hasn’t be done yet.
To install PSX support, start Cobra USB Manager, switch to PSX mode, insert your CD-R backup, and
press X.

Ich denke wir können gespannt sein und wenn dort die versprochenen Features tatsächlich vorhanden sein sollten wird es auch nicht lange dauern bis wir diese Sachen auch in anderen Backupmanagern finden werden smile

Mathieulh erklärt 3.60 Loader Exploit!

Nachdem gerüchten zufolge, Mathieulh die 3.60 Keys schon gefunden hat, aber nicht veröffentlichen will, hat er nun den Weg beschrieben, wie man sie findet.

Was beteuted das:

1. es wird möglich sein 3.60 FW Games auf 3.55 lauffähig zu machen, was bis jetzt nicht möglich war, durch die fehlenden applrd keys von 3.60.

2. und das ist das Interessante: es könnte der Weg für einen 3.60 CFW geben.

3. durch einen BUG wären auch die Zukunftigen FW´s in bestehenter Form dadurch hackbar.

Jetzt liegt es natürlich an "mutigen" Dev´s das umzusetzen.

Doch ein Hack schuld an PSN Downtime!

Wie jetzt auf dem US Playstation Blog veröffentlichtem Statement, ist am Ausfall der PSN Server doch ein Hack schuld.

Der Angriff ist scheinbar so massiv, das die PSN Server Weltweit vom Netz genommen wurden um die Fehler zu beheben. Nachdem PSN Nutzer schon seit fast 3 Tagen im Dunkeln gelassen wurde, hat Sony endlich eine Erklärung abgegeben.

Lange wurde vermutet das die Hacker von "Anonymous", dahinter Stecken bzw. beteiligt sind.

Laut einem Statement der Gruppe sind sie aber nicht beteiligt:
"For Once We Didn’t Do It
Sony’s Playstation Network, its online service for Playstation 3 and its Playstation Portable consoles, suffered from a major outage today; which is on going as of this writting. According to Son’ys blog, the interruption in service may last into the long weekend – for at least another “full day or two”. Sony released a statement through its EU blog, saying that the network outage may be a result of “targeted behaviour by an outside party”, brining in the possibility of cyberattacks. Adding to the confusion is the fact that the message has since been removed.
While it could be the case that other Anons have acted by themselves AnonOps wa not related to this incident and takes no responsiblity for it. A more likely explination is that Sony is taking advantage of Anonymous’ previous ill-will towards the company to distract users from the fact the outage is accutally an internal problem with the companies servers.

PS3 Dual Boot GameOS/Linux CFW Released

Die PS3 Dev-Szene hat in letzter Zeit ein wenig Tot ausgesehen, aber mit
dem neuesten Release, ist es sehr sicher, dass es hinter den Kulissen weiter geht.
Geoffrey Levand hat uns etwas zurückgebracht, was Sony uns genommen hat, das
OtherOS. Heute hat er eine Custom Firmware mit Dual Boot veröffentlicht, die einem
erlaubt, das OtherOS oder das GameOS zu booten. Wie auch immer, es ist schon ein
bisschen mehr als Sony's typisches OtherOS.

Dieses Mal hat das OtherOS vollen Zugriff auf das GameOS, Zugang zu den HV SS
Service (Dispatcher Manager, LPAR1 und vieles mehr). Diese CFW erlaubt es einem
einen Downgrade durchzuführen, ohne auf den Service Mode zurückgreifen zu
müssen, die Möglichkeit die HDD/VFLASH Verschlüsselung zu aktivieren/deaktivieren
und natürlich noch andere Features. Im Moment ist diese Methode aber eher für
Fortgeschrittenere User zu empfehlen, bis eine mehr User-freundliche Methode
erscheint.

Neue Custom Firmware erlaubt OtherOS

Während aller Augen auf GeoHot, Graf_Chokolo und Anonymous gerichtet waren, entwickelte der Programmierer Geoffrey Levand in aller Stille eine neue Firmware für die Playstation 3, welche neben dem normalen GameOS auch ein alternatives Betriebssystem booten kann. Levand arbeitete bereits ab 2000 für Sony und war dort für die Implementierung von Linux auf der PS2 verantwortlich. Sein Linux-Kernel wurde dann noch in weiteren Sony-Geräten verwendet.

Die neue Firmware soll nicht nur die zwei Betriebssysteme parallel anbieten, sie erlaubt Linux-Usern auch weitreichende Rechte, was das System betrifft.

Auf Gitbrew´s Twitter Account wurde veröffentlicht das petitboot dual boot
jetzt auch auf 256MB Nand Konsolen läuft.

Der Donglehersteller Cobra USB, hat anscheinend ein Update, mit PS2 Support für einige PS3 Modelle herausgebracht.

We have released Cobra Firmware v2.0 and Cobra USB Manager v2.0, which are both available from the downloads page. Changes in this release include: ​

• Added the ability to play PS2 ISO backups from CECHC and CECHE backwards compatible consoles. Support for the remaining backwards compatible models, CECHA and CECHB, will come in a future update

• PS3, PSX, DVD and BluRay ISO's can now be played without a real disc inserted in the PS3. Support for discless PS2 backups will come in a future update

• Added an option for those users without a PS2 backwards compatible PS3 (including Slims) to test PS2 original games and ISO backups using the PS2 software only emulator which is by default included with all PS3's. Please note however that as the software only emulator is slow and very buggy, this feature is disabled by default and is only intended as a gimmick

• Cobra USB manager can now make PS3 ISO's from backups in the standard "Jailbreak" directory format, using the copy function

• Cobra USB manager is now less strict with cue/bin filenames

• Bugfix: Cobra USB Manager was unable to get the PSX CD-ROM/CD-R title, and displayed "PSX-CDROM" instead

• Bugfix: Under rare circumstances, Cobra USB Manager could dump invalid PS3 discs

PS3 Downgrade mit höherer FW wie 3.55 bald möglich!

Laut Meldungen ist es dem Hacker dospiedras1973 gelungen, eine Fat PS3(256mb Nand) mithilfe des Infectus Chips downzugraden.

Mit dieser Methode sollen auch mit der Waninkoko V1 gebrickte Fat, wieder zum laufen gebracht werden.

Da die Methode aber mit viel Lötarbeiten am Chip verbunden ist, wird es im Heimanwenderbereich eher ungeeignet sein.

Neue CFW 3.55 PS3A Rev2

Team PS3-Devs Addict hat eine neue CFW 3.55 herausgebracht!

Da die FW aber noch nicht 100% klappt( bug) und noch nichts genaueres wegen Bricks bekannt ist, würde ich aber mit der Installation noch warten!

Gitbrew: Bootloader der PS3 erfolgreich gedumpt

Laut Twitter ist es dem Team Gitbrew erfolgreich gelungen den Bootloader der PS3 zu knacken.
Das ist ein großer Schritt nach vorne.

Sie werden jetzt noch den NOR-Flash knacken um damit zugriff auf den ROOTKEY zu bekommen.
Damit wäre die PS3 dann wirklich komplett offenIMG Removed

Info: Multiman bald Mehrsprachig!

Deank(multiMan Author) arbeitet zur Zeit ausgiebig an einer Mehrsprachigen Version von Multiman.
Natürlich wird auch Deutsch enthalten sein.

Es gibt zwar schon Vorrab Updateversionen, aber die ist für die Dev. gedacht die übersetzen und hat noch ein paar Macken. Ausserdem ist die Übersetzung noch nicht für alle Bereiche in MM fertig und es wird sicher noch einige Änderung bis zur FULL geben.

Die fertige Version soll bei der nächsten (oder übernächster) Version von MM erscheinen.
