Dashcam über Zigarettenanzünder oder Dauerstrom

Hello,

I recently changed my car.
I had a 2018 vw sportsvan with 2 dashcams (one on the windscreen, the other one on the back) and they switched on/off when i turned the ignition key.
Now, i have a 2023 VW caddy, 2.0 TDI dsg and the cigarettes lighters are always on even when my car is parked and the engine switched off, i couldn't let my dashcams plugged.

I found a solution for the front:
I fit an usb adapter with a on/off switch and fix my garmin mini 2 .

But, on the rear it's a little bit tricky to switch on the adapter each time i start my car...

I tried to find a usb adapter with a remote but i haven't find it....does anyone have the same issue and found a solution?

Hallo,
für alle diesen Fälle gibt es "fast" fertige Lösungen
-> für den Fall, dass Eure Dashcam doch direkt 12V benötigt ist diese Lösung nicht geeignet
-> über diesen Adapter wird 5Volt generiert (übliche Mini USB Spannung)
-> vielleicht muss man statt "Micro USB" was anderes anbringen (wenn eure Dashcam anderen Stecker hat)
-> Adapter ist für AZDOME Dashcam vorgesehen 8auch nicht alle)
-> bei dem Adapter kann man verschieden ABSCHALTSCHWELLEN einstellen
-> DASHCAM läuft wenn Zündung an ist (wenn GELBE Leitung bestromt wird)
-> DASHCAM läuft weiterhin nach Zündungabschalten solange die ABSCHALTSCHWELLE erreicht wird (so 12,4V oder 12,2 einstellen)

You might want to check, most VW cars nowadays have the option to set the fuse for the cigarette lighter ports either to continuous 12V (Klemme 30) or to ignition plus (Klemme 15). Check the cars manual if your car has the option too, then you can relocate the fuse and have your dashcams/cig. lighter ports turn on/off with the ignition.
I do not have the manual for a 2023 caddy, so I cannot confirm if your car has the option too.
