Im verry sorry but my german is to bad to explain this easy;

LonelyHunter the way u describe the install procedure is correct, but there's a small catch, the box will not boot!

The "Sim-Team" did send out a warning from Mfaraj a few days ago (sll84-dm800 will not change a thing to this..):

"just to warn you not to install new official release 3.2 to the sim2 dreambox
just installed this image to multiboot of sim2 dm800 and the middle boot shutdown screen appeared and even the box hanged at middle boot of internal flash image and even flashing already known workin image to the dreambox did not resolve the problem of hanging at middle reboot
i do not know tell what is the harmful effect caused by this image to the box and i am trying to solve the problem"

There's a new "protection" inside which probaly checks the clone ssl's crc against the orginal one and prevent further boot...

But feel free to install and enjoy a freezed up dm800/se @boot

Sim2 just released the new secondstage loader ssl-84b.
With this new ssl the user will be able to use original drivers 9-11-2011 without modification or adding old files.
The new ssl is used only with drivers 9-11-2011 and is incompatible with old drivers.
Attached files for nfi and bin versions.

Hat den neuen SSL schon jemand getestet?

Hab ssl-84b und dreambox-dvb-modules-dev_2.6.18-7.4-dm800-20111109-r0_dm800.ipk hier und würde gern mein ICVS Image Updaten, was meint ihr wie die chancen stehen das es funktioniert?

Wann Spiel ich die Treiber ein, auch gleich nach dem ich den SSL geflasht hab oder kann die Kiste erstmal Booten?

Sollte bekannt sein nicht bei einem Clone machen ! Weder Software noch Firmware !

Ich hab geschrieben das ichs hier hab, also lokal, nicht Online.

SSL84b per Browser, treiber dann direkt hinterher per Telnet(geht das überhaubt in dem Moment?) oder per BP o. Telnet im laufendem Betrieb?

Oder besser ganz sein lassen und alles neu Flashen?

Ich beziehe mich auf den Beitrag über mir von happysat.

Hi,

Wie Karl-Hein auch schon geschrieben hat, wenn dann ein ganz neues bereits gepatschtes Image einspielen.
Wobei ich persönlich nur wechseln würde wenn Probleme mit meinem jetzigen auftreten.
Never Touch a Running System gilt hat auch bei Receivern

First backup , then install the drivers, turn off the box, turn on in flash mode and flash the ssl, works for me on PLi..

Without installing the drivers first you get black screens - no picture, however after a reinstall of 1109 drivers picture comes back..
