Ups, an den Cradle hab' ich nicht gedacht, sorry, mein Fehler. Teste ich spaeter, bin grad bei der Arbeit. Eine Frage haett' ich noch: soll ich dann entsprechend die sys.txt aendern, oder soll ich tmc auslassen und es soll automatisch suchen?
EDIT: Hab hier noch etwas gefunden:
Rename the original file Mounted Volume\Sony\nav-u\nav-u.exe on the pna to nav-u2.exe
To go back to Sony software, rename the saved nav-u2.exe to nav-u.exe
Unzip the download file to for e.g. c:\Mounted Volume
Copy c:\Mounted Volume to the pna with active sync, use Windows xp with Active sync 4.5 and not Vista.
Reset the pna and look.
You have to fill your self the content folder with your own maps , voices etc.
Only the basemap and Monaco is in the zip file, voice Dutch and language English, to keep the zip file small.
Maybe the same on U-83T, but on U93T it stays 18/15
You can choose between Sony original software and Igo8 after you have put my version in the download above,
if you have renamed the original nav-u.exe to nav-u2.exe.
For this you have to reset the pna to get the choice again.
Always reset your pna also, with the small button next to the ac/dc, if you putting new software on it.
Check if you put everthing in the right folder.
Here the nav-u.mscr what at startup is running if you use the files from my zip file.
You see it is very simple, so you see why you have to rename the orginal Sony software to nav-u2.exe.
If you answer at startup with no, this line is executed: RunWait("\Mounted Volume\Sony\nav-u\nav-u2.exe")
The orginal nav-u.exe is 6 or 7 mb, (becomes nav-u2.exe after the rename), the one in the zip file is 8000 kb, what is starting the script.
Igo8 has to be "\Mounted Volume\iGO8\iGO8.exe", look line RunWait ("\Mounted Volume\iGO8\iGO8.exe")
With the startup script and sys.txt you can use also other IGO8 versions if you like.
Here a list what device should by working:
NV-U92T,NV-U82,NV-U72T and NV-U52 are NOT compatible with Microsoft Windows Vista so use Windows xp with active sync 4.5
NV-U93T, NV-U83, NV-U73T and NV-U53 are compatible with Microsoft Windows Vista
Download Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 or later from the Microsoft support site, if not already installed.
If you use an American pna with own Sony communication software.
Use preferred Windows xp, install active sync 4.5
Installed ActiveSync and changed the setting for connecting to USB only. All other settings for synchronising are disabled.
After connecting you can browse the contents (from ActiveSync menu) tested with a NV-U73T.
Look here for aristidesfl his solution of Sony u71t + iGo8 + Standby Button + Back light sensor, but will
work maybe also on other pna.
Ist das definitiv der Stand, daß TMC und GPS auf Comport 5 lauschen?
Sollte das TMC nicht funktionieren, kannst Du es mit einem Portsplitter versuchen.
Probieren geht über Studieren. Teste es alles durch.

Du musst natürlich den externen Empfänger, beim testen am Gerät angeschlossen haben.
Japp, mach' ich, wenn ich zurueck bin. Mir faellt gerade ein, es muesste technisch gesehen doch eigentlich auch moeglich sein Becker Software auf dem Geraet zum Laufen zu bekommen, weiss vielleicht jemand, wie das funktionieren koennte?
Also funktionieren tut's, aber ich hab's Gefuehl mit dem GPS-Fix ist er derbe traege. TMC konnte ich noch nicht ausprobieren, hab den Stoepsel nicht gefunden, aber ich kuemmere mich morgen drum und erstatte wieder Bericht. Um nie wieder die XP irgendwo draufbuegeln zu muessen, hab ich den ersten sys.txt folders Eintrag geaendert und auch auf die Speicherkarte verwiesen, damit sowohl Applikation, als auch Kartenmaterial und Rest von der Speicherkarte starten. Ich glaub' bald koennen wir am Becker System anfangen zu arbeiten

EDIT2: ok, doch nicht so leicht, wie angenommen, ich komm' zum Startlogo, unten steht INIT APP und dann schaltet sich's aus :X wenn jemand was weiß, immer her damit
Du solltest dir aber darüber im Klaren sein, dass du gewisse aktuelle Softs deinem alten Gerät (mit WinCE 4.2) nur "bedingt" zumuten kannst.
Da wäre mir persönlich schon eine stabile Soft (und das ist IGO 8.3) schon lieber! :emoticon-0103-cool:

EDIT: Jetzt hab ich auch die pois und Speedcams drauf, aber jetzt komm' ich beim Start bis initializing warning data, dann meldet er mir out of memory und schaltet sich nach dem ok aus. Wenn ich die SpeedcamText.txt rausnehme läuft's wieder. Jetzt hab ich vorerst nur SpeedCam_D drin
Hab dir ja gesagt, dass dein Teil inzwischen "grenzwertig" ist bezüglich Hardware-Anforderungen. :emoticon-0103-cool:
Zu Becker:
Besorge dir eine Version in deiner Auflösung 480x272 und benenne den Programmordner und die Startdatei (exe) so um, wie sie bei IGO8 heißen.
Die sys,txt kannst du mal von IGO8 nehmen (sollte klappen). :emoticon-0144-nod:
Hab ich schon probiert, hat nichts gebracht. Dann gab's den Fehler, dass er igo/background.bmp nicht finden kann glaub ich, also hab ich alle ui_becker Ordner auch umbenannt in igo, dann kam erst der Splashscreen, mit INIT APP und ab da hat's sich immer heruntergefahren
Ok, du hast schon mehr als genug getan, denke ich meinst du man kann noch was wegen dem out of memory problem machen? Würde es evtl. was bringen bestimmte Dinge runterzulöschen?
