Ok I've just tested Matrix for you and as you say this skin is completely unaffected by this issue. The resolution always displays in the infobar upon every channel change.

I really dont know why this is ?

Its a bug that was introduced with the updates.

Bug is a strong word, my friend. The recently introduced change concerns the timing of the decoder startup when switching to a softCSA channel. The decoder on softCSA channels now only starts after the first CW signal arrives, not immediately as before. This prevents an encrypted stream from being sent to the decoder immediately, which can lead to artifacts on some receivers when the subsequent CWs and the decrypted content arrive.

Ah Ok. Yes I remember that update and yes that was indeed about the same time as this issue appeared for the first time.

Ps the Softcsa icon being displayed correctly is now fixed as you stated.

The simple answer is nothing.

Before the update to only start the decoder after the first cw arrives everything worked perfectly.
After that update the resolution being displayed is broken.

My skin is not at fault, softcsa is on certain skins.

Everything works perfectly, thank you. There's just one thing missing: switching from a Sky channel to ZDF or RTL HD takes 5-10 seconds, and vice versa from ZDF to Sky takes 1-2 seconds.

What am I doing wrong?

tja, da du der einzigste bist, der ein resolution-problem mit deinem gemoddeten skin hat,
wirste wohl selbst mal deine skin.xml auf fehlerhafte aufrufe prüfen müssen!
ich habe hier auf 3 stb's mit unterschiedlichen skins res+picon geprüft, da war alles okay!
insofern bleibe ich dabei: das softcsa verursacht nicht deinen fehler, sondern eher dein gemodderter skin!

you'll probably have to check your skin.xml for incorrect calls yourself!
I checked res+picon on 3 STBs with different skins, and everything was fine!
So I stand by my opinion: the softcsa is not causing your error, but rather your modded skin!

@lisaasil: The slow switching from Sky → ZDF has nothing to do with SoftCSA.

The tuner needs a retry when switching to ZDF/RTL. This indicates a DiSEqC or signal problem.

Possible causes:

1. DiSEqC timing set too short
2. Problems with the LNB/switch
3. Weak signal on 19.2°E (ZDF/RTL transponder)

• Compare signal strength/quality on both transponders
• DiSEqC settings (try enabling "Repeat" or increase timing)
• If using a DiSEqC switch: check cables and connections

Please open a new thread if need help to change your configuration!

theres a difference between being the only one and the only one posting. If you seach through this thread ( not easy ) then you will see several others have reported the issue as well, but now they just seem to be reading and waiting for a fix rather than commenting.
