I can't pair phone. Also can not erase old phones from memory and can't restore it to factory settings.

Service told me that there are 2 problems:
1) Coding. We need to do coding to make car and multimedia to work good together;
2) Hardware problem. SW 0020, HW H40 is old and bad hardware unit which can be paired only whith old androids. We can't do firmware update on this model they said to me.
I don't bolive at the second explanation becouse my unit is 04/16 which isn't old for RNS 315. Your problem is also confirmation for my doubt becouse your same phone worked before and now it doesn't.
I think it is dome kind of bug in unit software which can be made.
Is your RNS 315 came factory whith car or you upgrade it?
Did you make any codings in VCDS about navigation?
Do you have separate AUX (not in unit but separate)?
