1 Save your own
iGO.db to a safe place.
2 Create new
igo.db from the .asc file downloaded from

3 Overwrite your
iGO.db in
PDA's My Documents\
iGO 2006 or My Documents\MioMap 2006 folder with the downloaded one.
4 Start application, select POI/My POI.
*Create, edit/join your own POIs
You can create, edit or join several POI databases with the free
iGO POI Explorer that is available at:

1 Unzip the downloaded ...
igo.zip file(s).
2 Import unzipped .asc or .db file(s) with CTRL+F (choose CSV POI file type). Your device shouldn't be connected to your PC.
The imported file(s) will appear in the map under Sync Recycle Bin.
3 Push this map above Sync Recycle Bin, into
iGO POI Database.
4 With command CTRL+D export
igo.db to desired location/map on PC. Export works only if the chosen map contains and empty or any
igo.db file.
An empty
igo.db file is created for example automatically after installation of
iGO 2006.
5 Replace with this
igo.db file to one in device's My Documents\
iGO 2006 or My Documents\MioMap 2006 map.
Note: please save your original
igo.db file prior replacement, because data in the file will be lost.
Speedcam
iGO Plus
1 Copy the downloaded *.txt or *.kmz file to SDcard/
iGO/POI/Speedcam map. The file will automatically
update the database.
Note: *.txt or *.kmz file is not converted automatically yet. Still you can create your own *.txt or *.kmz easily.
Here is how:
TXT
a Download the required speedcam file in .asc format from

b Open the file With Notepad.
c Edit the file according to the following rules:
Header: X,Y,TYPE,SPEED,DIRTYPE,DIRECTION
Where
X: longitude
Y: latitude
TYPE: type of speedcam (1-fix; 2-red light speedcam; 3-red light; 4-section camera; 5-mobile speedcam; 6-railway crossing; 7-not constant mobile position)
SPEED: speed limit km/h
DIRTYPE: type of direction of the speedcam (0-all directions; 1-one direction; 2-both directions)
DIRECTION: direction in degrees (0-North; 90-East)

Note: DIRTYPE and DIRECTION are not required.
d Save as speedcam.txt.
KMZ
a Download the required speedcam file in .kml (Google Earth) format from

b Open the file with Google Earth (free application at

c Rename individual POIs, and leave just speed limits.
d Save as speedcam.kmz.
Speedcam MioMap 3.2 (under construction)
1 Rename the downloaded *.upd file to poiupdates.upd.
2 Copy poiupdates.upd to MioMap\mtc\poi directory. The file will automatically update the database.
Speedcam MioMap 3.3 (under construction)
1 Copy the downloaded speedcams.mtc file to MioMap\poi\speedcam or miotc\pois directory. The file will automatically update the database.
Note: some POIs might not be reachable on the map, if the map is not detailed enough.
