Hello everyone! I recently installed an MST2 Plus unit without navigation in my Golf 7.5, and component protection is enabled. The unit is running software version P0890D. Therefore, I'm interested in some information regarding the Congo activator and how to remove component protection.
My questions are:
1. Do I need to update the software to P0891 first and then remove component protection, or do I activate the device with the Congo Activator after the update and only then disable component protection? Is the order important?
2. Can the software of a device with active component protection be updated while the engine is running? (This might slightly weaken the battery.)
