Ist nicht für meine VIN gebaut worden. Ob es generisch ist oder für eine fremde VIN, weiß ich nicht. Dafür fehlen mir die Fähigkeiten...

Wenn ihr mir sagt, wo ich es ablegen/hochladen kann, dann mach ich das...

Vielleicht ist da auch was verknüpft. Metainfo2 checksummen Berechnung bei der 3GP ist kein Problem. Da sollte aber keine Vin abgebildet sein bzw. wäre mir nicht bekannt, dass man darüber das Update auf eine VIN beschränkt.

I’ve been reading this thread and your research regarding the instrument cluster map modification for MMI 3G+. Very interesting work.
I have an Audi A6 C7 pre-facelift with HN+R_EU_AU_P1001 and a color instrument cluster, and I’m trying to achieve the same result.
I saw your comparison of the modified firmware with the original P1001, especially the differences you found in MuIOC → Application → v850app.bin, including the changes around 0x88 and 0x30F18.
Did you eventually find out exactly what enables the map display in the instrument cluster? And was it possible to make it work while keeping Radio, Media and the other MMI functions working normally?
I can make backups and extract the original files from my own P1001 MMI, so I’m interested in comparing the binaries and understanding the modification rather than blindly installing another firmware.
If you still have any notes or information from your research that could point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it. I’d also be happy to share any results I get from my P1001.

Been poking at the same thing (map on the FIS, HN+) for a while so maybe some of this helps.
The imagefs - I don't think the outer container is NRV2. On the ifs-root I have here it's a small startup header and then a run of blocks, each one a 2-byte big-endian length followed by an LZO1X stream, until a zero length ends it. Every block is its own stream, 64k max out. I couldn't get a C decompressor to build either, so I ended up porting lzo1x_decompress to Python and that unpacks the whole thing, MMI3GNavigation and the rest are sitting extracted here. If you're genuinely hitting NRV2 it's more likely on a file inside the image than on the container, or your build just differs from mine. Where did it show up for you? NRV2 isn't bad to port if that's really what it is, same author as LZO.
On the enable, it matches what you and the German post landed on, it's all MMI side. The V850 diff is checksum/version bytes only, there's no map or picture code in the IOC to begin with, it just shifts CAN/BAP frames. The KOMOView/CombiView/DataDisplay code is already in the stock nav binary. What gates it is the CLUSTER_VARIANT coding the nav reads from persistence at boot, bit 0 is the MOST-kombi flag, set it and the nav brings up the mapCombi view and the street/map option shows. The combi view has three modes internally anyway (arrow, street, static image), so the mod isn't adding code, it's flipping that flag. Which is also why radio/media stay fine and why it's MMI-only.
If you want to actually pin the exact byte/flag, diffing the modded ifs-root against stock is the way, and I've already got stock unpacked. If you can share your extracted image, or the modded ifs-root.ifs (+ efs-system), I'll diff them and we can see what flips and whether the menu entry is a separate gate.
