3DS Firmware 11.0 wurde erst vor wenigen Monate wieder freigelassen, und einige große Veränderungen können ein paar Einfluss beim Lauf von Hacks ausüben. Hier ist, was bisher entdeckt worden ist:
A9LH and emuNAND
Wenn Sie arm9loaderhax verwenden, (a.k.a A9LH), dann ist es sicher SysNAND und emuNAND / redNAND zu aktualisieren. Wenn Sie ein emuNAND / redNAND-Benutzer sind, können Sie diese aktualisieren, aber nicht SysNAND! Gateway-Benutzer sind auch scheinbar unberührt von dem Update.
Firmware 11.0 introduces more ASLR
Address randomization makes the system more secure, and some hacks including Cubic Ninja (ninjhax) and Ocarina of Time 3D (oot3dhax)are now more difficult to launch. They still run though.Additionally Cubia Ninja is now unable to access its payload code from an internet connection.Smealum ist working on that,as the payload could be minimized to fit directly into the QR code alone.

Other fixes have been omplemented in firmware 11, which could break online play or some applications that rely on arm 11 kernel access. This apparently breaks RetroArch for example, although the latest commmit of CFW Luma3DS fixes that
(literally by re-introducing the backdoor that has been removed by Nintendo).
