OpenATV 6.3 dm800se sim2 image daily build

Image build from oe-alliance-core 4.3 source:
- Gstreamer 1.15.0
- Pyhton 2.7.15
- gibc 2.2.8
- Openssh 7.9
- Busybox 1.29
- Openssl 1.0.2q
- Dropbear 2018.76
- Bitbake 1.40.0
- Gcc 6.3.0 Memleak fixes

Changes:
- Set default language to English
- Removed defaultsat settings
- Removed some left over .py files (save flashspace)
- Removed all non European fonts
- Removed locale laguages except English, Dutch and German
- Added secret cam feed

Image has about 4MB flash space left after installing and removing other languages.

Come on man, I hope this is not the first box you installed ?
Maybe check Plugins from the menu and press the green button (download plugins) and goto softcams ?

I just checked on my dm800sev2, it works.
Since you are on a 800se, did you try to update ? If you did so, probably your flash is full, hence you don't see the plugins.
Try in a telnet session:
opkg update
opkg install enigma2-plugin-softcams-cccam-2.3.2

Du mußt erst das Softcam Paket installieren: Link ist nicht mehr aktiv.
Dann über Erweiterungen grüne Taste Soft cam: Cccam als Plugin installieren.

The CCcam.cfg file is located in /usr/keys/


If you don't want to use the cli, you can also try to force a plugin inventory update by going to: Setup - Software management - Manage Extensions
DON'T UPDATE ! The box hasn't enough flash space to finish the updates.
Then go back to Plugins.

Hallo und frohe Ostern,

danke das du den clone mit openatv versorgst. Die builds scheinen mitlerweile so groß zusein, dass die sich nicht mehr installieren lassen.

Ich hatte ein build von anfang April probiert, da war der Speicher schon so knapp, dass sich der flashexpander nicht mehr installieren ließ.
Jetzt fährt die kiste micht mal mehr hoch mit einem aktuellem build.

Warum tut man sich sowas wie eine Clone-Box an? Sicher ist, das flashen eines Images geschieht immer auf eigene Gefahr.

Hallo,

hab die defekt geschenkt bekommen und repariert, zum wegschmeissen zuschade.

Die box lässt sich ja neu flashen zum beispiel, ich benutze das 6.1 openatv image, das läuft sehr gut.

Ich hatte einfach mit den neueren versionen getestet und dann das Speicher Problem entdeckt und wollte das nur melden.

Dann lass es doch laufen. Die alten Boxen sind einfach nicht mehr stand der Dinge.
Aus einer Oma machst Du keinen D-Zug.

The only visible change the newer versions have, they grow in size...
All enigma2 based images didn't change much for years now, we only get updates of all included components used. For instance the present version of samba doesn't fit at all in a old 64MB dreambox. End 2018 someone introduced a new font which alone was a couple of MB. It doesn't matter for the newer boxes so no one cares.
I try to keep the image working on the old boxes, but I also think there's a limit. What looks like a small change in source can have serious consequences for a small flash box.
All kind of tricks are used to shrink the image size, big binaries are compressed by UPX, all python source code is stripped where possible, modules like Samba are not included anymore, I think the we pretty near reached the limit of the old boxes.
At the moment the free flash size is only 3 or lower MB, this is barely enough to install a softcam. Online updating is also not possible.

Schade, dass bei diesem Image im Gegensatz zum 6.2 der folgende Trick nicht mehr funktioniert.
Das Logo erscheint und die Box fährt nicht weiter hoch.
