In this topic I will explain and help you to make your own snooper sat nav from a Chinese device .
Today we will gonna clone the snooper S2500 TruckMate with life time map updates
What we need :
1-Any Chinese device MTK MT3351 480x272 screen and 128 MB Ram and 4GB Nand flash WinCe 6.0
2- 8 GB Micro SD card
3- Snooper S2500 genuine firmware..... can be downloaded from here :
4- DiskImage:
5- Snooper micro SD Card image from here :
6- Snooper map download from here :
7- 7.zip from internet
8- 1 GB maxim 2 GB Micro SD Card
How To :
Lets start with the snooper micro SD Card
1-unpack with 7.zip on your desktop the following:
a-DiskImage64.7z
b-S2500.7z
2-insert your blank 8 GB Micro SD Card in to the card slot
3-Right click on diskimage64.exe and run it with administrator privileges
4-Select device ( choose path to your micro SD card )
5-click on Img2Dsk and navigate were unpacked S2500.img is
6-click on yes and wait till SD card is ready when SD card is redy a prompt will let you know , remove the
Card from PC safely
7-Install Snooper map download in to your computer , when installation is reedy just run it
8- choose your language and then click on all other devices
9- Now is time to insert your SD card , when the updates are downloaded and ready to be written on your
SD card remove SD card , choose your language again and insert the SD card and wait till software and map are transferred to your SD card , Remove safely the SD card from computer
How To:
Preparing the Chinese Sat nav
1-Unpack snooper firmware
2- fully format 1 GB micro SD card
3- copy in to the root of SD card all files from the S2500 WINCE 6.0 GENUINE ROM MT3351 folder
4- Turn off the sat nav and insert the SD card
5- Connect the sat nav to an external power ( Home Charger )
6- press reset on the back of your sat nav
7-wait till firmware is written , calibrate the screen , take out the sd card and insert the 8GB one
