EGAMI 5.X.X requires a full reflash. You cannot update from EGAMI 4.X.X or use a settings backup from any image prior to EGAMI. We have coded it so that you can't use a backup from an earlier image as it will cause issues if you do.
Also You need to upgrade bootloaders for HDp and HDe models before EGAMI 5.X.X update
How To
The upgrade process for the bootloader is same like for the flashing of the new image by USB, except one thing - no need to push the Up button on the front panel of the receiver. It means that You need to download the booltoader then put the folder with loader in root of USB. Plug in USB stick and Power On the receiver then wait until the loader will be updated.
For HDe model You need to upgrade the bootloader once:
bootloader-hde-751mhz
So what is different in EGAMI 5.X then ?
The main difference is core of the image or the OE (Open Embedded); this has undergone a lot of changes, updates and fixes.

Plug in USB. Pop Up Window will appear. If it does not appear, press PLUGINS button and choose from the list Media Scanner
