I was thinking of getting one for my samsung d8000 tv.
But most reviews from 2011 show that the MCA is a bit unstable on HD channels.
Also the wireless reception isn't really good (one review states the MCA has to be within 5 meters of your accesspoint/router).

So if I deploy the latest firmware and replace the oscam binary with the latest oscam dvbapi svn, will it perform stable?
I'm planning to use it for DVB-C Irdeto (Ziggo Netherlands) and Nagra (UPC Netherlands).

With firmware: 0.2.2-XMAS-339
Supported CAIDS: 1801 1802 1803 1810 1830 1833 1834 1835 1838 1843 1880 1702 1722
0D03 0D05 0D95 0D96 09C4 09C7 098C 0963 0648 0626 0B01 0500 100

What about CAID 0604? (Irdeto2)

EDIT: Sorry I don't speak german.

There are problems with nds. WLAN reception is good for me.
Unfortunately some tvs seem to be not compatible. Depending on how your TV handles caids, you need to Add your caid. There are posts that describe what to Do.
Though, First step should be to compatibility. Google Type of TV and mca. Alternative could be diablo (w)lan.

Thanks,
I've installed MCA_NG-0.2.2-XMAS-339-SD-FULL_1G onto my MCA.
Installed the thing into my Samsung UE55D8000 TV (led) and setup Wifi.
Then I placed the latest oscam binary oscam-svn8755-mca-webif into my root / and pointed /oscam -> /oscam-svn8755-mca-webif
Finally I placed my oscam config files in /var/mca/d1 and restarted my TV.

Everything good so far, but it refuses to decode channels.
When I turn on my TV the FTA channel is working, then I zap to a decoded channel (after waiting 4 minutes for the mca to be fully started) and it says: "channel encrypted".
Then when I goback to my FTA channel it doesn't work anymore.

Here's some logging:

Du musst dich Anmelden oder Registrieren um diesen Inhalt sichtbar zu machen!
As you can see it tries to decode when I zap to the pay-channel, it receives some ECM from my server but fails to decode.
Then it stops working (also FTA channels :p).

Maybe I need to add my caid (0604) to the firmware file?
There supposed to be a script somewhere but I have a very hard time reading german (al ben ik een hollander:p).

So maybe if someone can post a brief descrption of this script and howto use it, so I can try to add my caid and see if it starts working :D.

You should try the alternative xilinx firmware. It's in the database.

That requires a cas3 programmer right?
What about adding my caid 0604 to the list wont that resolve the problem?
If not, then could you maybe point me to the right cas3 programmer I need to get in order to install the xilinx firmware?

EDIT: Matrix Xilinx Sammlung (MLC) is what I need to apply right?
it contains:
Rev_MLC2a.jed
Rev_MLC2.jed
Rev_MLC.jed

The readme is not very clear in case of the Matrix Cam Air...

1. Which file do I need to program onto my MCA?
2. What hardware do I need to buy (preferbly usb)
3. Will I be able to revert back to the current firmware?

Anyone else here having luck getting the MCA to work on Samsung TVs ?

EDIT2:
Found the following file in the database: Link ist nicht mehr aktiv.
Code:
Du musst dich Anmelden oder Registrieren um den Inhalt der Codes zu sehen!
This mca_cam.upb contains my caid 0604 :D
I'll try this tomorrow and report back.

Well I've found the mca_tool.pl after searching for a while.
And I've added my CAID :)
However my TV is still not working.
The russian page mentions a fix for samsung televisions by flashing the Rev_MLC2a.jed using a Cas3 programmer.
The youtube video on his page displays exact the same problem I'm having atm (corruption on FTA channels).

So if I flash this jed, I will not be able to restore the original bootloader/firmware currently installed right?
Will the Rev_MLC2a.jed firmware also work on non-samsung televisions like Sony?

AW: Re: Does the MCA support Irdeto?

Is there any solution to clear picture in Samsung TVs ?

I can't find mca_tool.pl!
Can anybody share it ?

Thank you
