Since quite a lot of people encounter problems during/after install.
I share my version of install guide.
Before installing PETK 8.8.
1. Please Make you had the .NET Framework 4.7.2, visual c++ & directx installed (Folder 1)
2. For PETK 8.8 Installation file.Please download from here.
3. When you launch PETKA for the first time, you will receive a hardware ID and be prompted to enter an activation code to continue. You
must provide your hardware ID to request the activation code here:
4. After Activate,if you encounter error,Please go to read section first in this thread
short read for those who had hardlock error
you ever receive a hardlock error, your hardware ID has changed and you need a new key.
To do this, delete the etkaconf.ini file in the C:\Program Files\Digital-Eliteboard\PETKA\Program\8.8\PROG1 folder.
Note: Your hardware ID can also change due to a Windows update!
4. Copy the EtLdrVins (File 3) file into C:\ProgramData\Digital-Eliteboard\PETKA\USERDATA\FGST
5. Next extract out Update file by car Brand from Data Update (File 4) into C:\ProgramData\Digital-Eliteboard\PETKA\DATA and replace the installed file one by one by car brand to save download update time.
6. Next replace the 3 patch file from PROG1 file into C:\Program Files (x86)\Digital-Eliteboard\PETKA\Program\8.8\PROG1 and replace the old one**
if you encounter error during data update next time ,Please close PETK 8.8 & repatch using this method again
7.You will get direct up to date PETK after finish install
