Allerdings finde man die weder über Navifirm oder über die Nokia Aktualisierungshomepage.

Nokia N8 - Firmware-Update für Symbian 3 veröffentlicht

"Viele der Verbesserungen sind für den Nutzer nicht direkt sichtbar", schreibt Nokia in seinem Firmenblog.

Aber die Benutzerführung auf den Geräten soll verbessert werden - was sich wohl in erster Linie auf die Reaktiongeschwindigkeit des Systems bezieht. Neben der Performance-Steigerung und Bugfixes bringt das Update auch ein paar neue Funktionen. Dazu gehören:
Terminanfragen können direkt in der E-Mail-Einladung bestätigt werden Die E-Mail-Integration von Ovi Maps wurde verbessert (Man kann sich den Terminort auf der Karte anschauen, wenn eine Adresse im entprechenden Feld der E-Mail-Einladung hinterlegt ist) Speziell für das N8 gibt es die neue Version 6.4 von Quick Office.

Das Update kann man direkt auf das Telefon herunterladen und installieren oder den PC-Umweg über die Ovi Suite nehmen. Beim Direkt-Download empfiehlt Nokia einen WLAN-Zugang, da es sich - speziell für das N8 - um ein größeres Download-Paket handelt.
