Yeah, that works fine for insulating doors. The more you cover, also around the speaker, the better the result. In the end if you're still not satisfied with the result, you can still replace your speakers, add a sub or a DSP. Your money is better invested in actual good audio equipment rather then spending top dollar to retrofit the HK. Its really not all that good. I have the Dynaudio in my Golf mk7 and for what it is, its really good. More than enough for me. I know the Dynaudio from the Arteon as well and its so much better than the HK they put in them after. So if you want something "original", then that could be worth to consider, though I'm not sure if you're going to be able to fully integrate it into the MIB3 system that you seem to have. The Dynaudio was for the MIB2 systems. I know that it was possible to re-use the MIB1 Dynaudio amps from the early Golf 7 and Passat B8s as an example, so when you retrofitted a MIB2, you could still make the amp work with coding. Not sure if that's still possible with a MIB2 amp and a MIB3 system.
