DeltaCam Revision 2.0
Our CAM hardware supplier provided us with a new revision which has excessively been tested by the DeltaCam team over the past few weeks. Its primary target is to fix compatibility issues with several problematic TVs/STBs, also bringing some other positive side-effects with it.
The new CAM hardware still features the same powerful CSA descrambler, supporting up to 32 PIDs with a total of 100mbps to be descrambled in parallel, therefore also supporting the most demanding Ultra HD data streams of tomorrow (including UHD MTD), just like revision 1.0 of the DeltaCam.
The clock speed of the ARM CPU core has been increased, which beside improving the overall reactivity of the DeltaCam, also effectively speeds up the MTD performance for NDS VideoGuard. 4 times the same channel is now possible with a Sky V14 SmartCard.
HW compatibility fixes:
Python/Cobra 1.52 already support the new hardware revision 2.0. For flashing the firmware, the new DeltaFlashLoader 1.38 is required.
Revision 2.0 should arrive at dealers and be available to end customers by calendar week 16.
DeltaCam revision 2.0 won’t receive a separate firmware which means that both revisions, so 1.0 and 2.0, will equally be supported in the future. DeltaCam revision 1.0 obviously will stay compatible with Philips PFL, LG W and Kathrein UFO series by using the compatibility mode.
