Das 3K3y Team bringt einen Externen Emulator(Optical Drive Emulator) für die PS3 heraus die es ermöglicht Backups als .ISO von einer NTFS Festplatte zu spielen.( auch bekannt als x360key für die Xbox)

Das Gute dabei ist das es auch mit der neuesten OFW4.x funktioniert. Das Problem ist allerdings noch, das man einmalig auf 3.55 sein muss um den Drivekey der eigenen PS3 auszulesen. Danach kann man erst Updaten. Das Team arbeitet bereits an einer Lösung! Ausserdem funktionieren die bis jetzt benutzten entschlüsselten Gamebackups nicht(JB Format=BLESxxx Ordner).

- Final hardware verification will start this week. All parts have been tested on development boards so no surprises are anticipated.

- While built-in disk ripping does work, it is too slow to be practical and will not be present. There is another way which is much faster and can most likely be delivered in a future software update, but we will not have time to verify this before launch. So we decided to remove built-in disk ripping from the feature list and put it on the WIP list.

- We have designed and completed software and a add-on board for connecting a PS3 drive to a PC via USB in order to dump games. This add-on board will be a part of the 3k3y kit.

Hab gerade das auf einer Reseller Seite gesehen gesehen:

1. Only works on Phat consoles at the moment that have PATA drives. This is almost all of them. They have silver Drive ribbon cables that are over an inch wide. If you have the last model phat drive which is like the slim (the width of the drive cable is 12mm) this will not work on your console, a hardware change is needed.
2. Only can be installed if you are able to obtain your drive key. This can only be done on ps3 consoles that are on CFW at the moment.

Das heist der läuft nur auf FAT Konsolen mit PATA BluRay (bis CHECHK)

wenn ich dafür cfw brauche da kann ich ja gleich multimann installieren ?

Bis jetzt hat er keine Vorteile.

Wenn Sony neue Games mit neuen Keys( für neue FW) rausbringt, ist er wieder im Vorteil.

Wenn die das Problem nicht korrigieren, wird der 3K3Y keine Zukunft haben.
