Das 3K3y Team bringt einen Externen Emulator(Optical Drive Emulator) für die PS3 heraus die es ermöglicht Backups als .ISO von einer NTFS Festplatte zu spielen.( auch bekannt als x360key für die Xbox)
Das Gute dabei ist das es auch mit der neuesten OFW4.x funktioniert. Das Problem ist allerdings noch, das man einmalig auf 3.55 sein muss um den Drivekey der eigenen PS3 auszulesen. Danach kann man erst Updaten. Das Team arbeitet bereits an einer Lösung! Ausserdem funktionieren die bis jetzt benutzten entschlüsselten Gamebackups nicht(JB Format=BLESxxx Ordner).

* Currently firmware 3.55 is required for exctracting the drive key. Once the key has been extracted the PS3 can be updated to any official or custom firmware. We are working on hardware methods for extracting keys from PS3's already on 4.x firmware.
