Hi everyone,
I’m having a problem after retrofitting Lane Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition on a Golf 7.5.
I keep getting:
BAP_LDW_0x19 keine Kommunikation
BAP_VZA_0x21 keine Kommunikation
The faults are present in the instrument cluster and 5F.
The car has:
A5: 3Q0 980 654 L, HW H04, SW 0610
Gateway: 3Q0 907 530 Q
Cluster: 5G1 920 741 D
5F: 5NA 035 020 D MIB2.5
The A5 has 0 DTCs, was reflashed and parameterized with ODIS-E, and calibrated successfully. Lane Assist and VZE are enabled. High Beam Assist works.
I also compared the coding/adaptations with another Golf GTI with factory Lane Assist. The important settings match, including:
Lane Assist = yes
Lane Assist BAP = yes
Traffic Sign Display = yes
Heading Control Assist = active
LDW_HCA_0x19 = астїvатёd / CAN Extended
traffic_sign_recognition_0x21 = астїvатёd / CAN Extended
HC = coded
VZE = coded
I also tried other msg_bus settings with no change.
Interesting test: if I disable Lane Assist BAP in the cluster, both BAP faults disappear, but the Lane Assist menu also disappears. When I enable it again, the menu returns and both faults come back.
The factory GTI uses the same A5 part number and SW, but HW H12 instead of H04.
Has anyone seen these two faults together on MQB, especially with a 3Q0 980 654 L camera with 0 DTCs?
Could this be caused by A5 dataset/NVM/BAP state, the older H04 hardware, or Gateway BAP routing?
Any ideas would be appreciated.
