Hello Scout,
I have been working on this for a while now, too. I was able to connect to zoran vaddis 966's(2011d's cpu+gpu etc) debug ports, and it has shown me that it was unable to find, various dll files, and cannot continue boot up process, thus hanging at boot logo. I believe the problem is not with the sirf prima, as you have suggested but with the sandisk sdin7dp2-8g that can also be seen in ,this image. or somewhere in the path to it.
you might be right in your guess.
I now also believe that this is not due to the chip I suspected. Unfortunately, I am not very familiar with electronics.
My area is WinCE and the software. It would be very nice if this hardware problem could be solved.
I have given it a long time but here is what I've found. The problem is, indeed with sandisk sdin7dp2-8g, and I also obtained that part as well, however I'm missing the winCe software to put in. I downloaded all the upgrades, and extracted all the files contained, however they are patches, not the whole software. If you can obtain me that firmware, or the whole wince to put inside, or someone who has a good 2011d, that can read the firmware from their own sdin7dp2-8g chip, I am sure that it can be fixed, and can easily be prepared with a tutorial.
Hello, unfortunately I also don't have the WinCE that is on the NC2011D. Since different driver (.dll) files are used/installed in WinCE depending on the device, it is important that you also get the right WinCE. Unfortunately I don't have it.
