Keep in mind that the Cobra firmware does not have the keys burnt in but requires the user to flash them via DeltaFlashLoader (softcam.key format is supported).
NDS FastMode+
Some more optimizations are now applied for NDS VideoGuard SmartCards. Even SmartCards not supporting ins7e11 (like the Kabel BW V23) will benefit from those, effectively further improving answer times and therefore MTD performance.
We do not want give too many details on the optimizations as a copycat team is always lurking around :emoticon-0125-mmm: . Feedback is highly appreciated though.

We did quite a bit of optimization and measuring this time. We found out that FW internal processing never takes more than 200ms (0.2s) which is not much compared to the overall channel switching process. So there is not much room for optimization inside the CAM FW anymore.
For NDS VideoGuard on the other hand, every millisecond that can be saved might help MTD performance. So it is for sure worth the effort.
There are some things you might want to consider when measuring and comparing channel switching speeds. Providers typically broadcast PMT and ECM every few hundred milliseconds. Both are required for the CAM to start descrambling. So depending on when the channel is switched relative to the arrival of the PMT and the ECM, the time until descrambling starts can jitter by up to half a second from one channel tuning to another. So when doing measurements you have to gather a lot of measurement results and then take the average to get somewhat reliable results. Also repeat the measurements with same channels as different channels might have different PMT and ECM cycle times.

Under Linux, the 32-bit library versions of GTK+ and glibc are required to be installed. Use the package management software of the Linux distribution of your choice (e.g. apt, yum/dnf) to install those dependencies.
Keep in mind that under Linux the DeltaFlashLoader has to be run with root privileges (sudo).

- Fixed AC-3 (Dolby Digital) audio track not being descrambled for some Sky SD channels under certain circumstances (thanks tamanihund for reporting)
- Fixed SmartCards being operated out of spec with DeltaCam V2 (also fixes Sky V13 with FastMode+ inside V2)
- Kathrein UFO headends also working with DeltaCam 1.0 (“alternative compatibility mode” has to be enabled) (thanks örlgrey for testing)
