Wir planen derzeit ein Server Umzug des Digital-Eliteboards. Dieser ist notwendig da die User Zahlen weiterhin ansteigen und der Server langsam aber sicher an seine Grenzen gelangt. Derzeit haben wir ein 32Bit System wobei nur 4GB RAM genutzt werden. Mehr geht leider nicht. Daher wird der neue Server ein 64bit System sein mit mindestens 8GB RAM. Dazu kommt das unser Prozessor schon in die Jahre gekommen ist. Dieser wird daher auch ersetzt durch ein neuen 2X AMD 6000+. Ich rechne somit das der Server dutlich mehr User abkann als wie es in der vergangenheit der Fall war. Da wir auch den Standort wechseln USA--->Türkei und wir dank unsere Uploader 45GB an Daten auf den Server zuliegen haben kann der Umzug etwas andauern. Wundert euch bitte nicht wenn der Server einige Zeit nicht erreichbar ist. Wir werden euch benachrichtigen sobald der Umzug abgeschlossen ist. Den genauen Umzugstermin werde ich noch bekannt geben.

Es wäre ja schlimm wenn nicht

. Die Registrierung der URL dauert ca. 24 Stunden. Bis dahin ist das Board über die Server Adresse erreichbar wie zb web1.server18.mediaon.org. Das ist die Adresse des jetzigen Server. Die Server URL wird bekannt gegeben sobald ich sie habe. Es wird also keine lange weile aufkommen und jeder User wird uns wie gewohnt und der jetzigen Domains finden

Nein, das sind keine 2 Server. Wir haben zwar mehrere aber das Board und die Datenbase liegen auf ein und den selben Server. Die DB sollte mal auf ein anderen Server gelegt werden aber mit derzeit 45GB möchte ich es nicht wagen. Das würde Tage dauern wenn nicht sogar Wochen dauern

Richtig erkannt. Das sollte mit den neuen Server nicht mehr der Fall sein. Wenn der Umzug abgeschlossen ist, dann wird hier noch etwas ausgemistet und dann sollte das ganze deutlich schneller laufen.
