Anfragen Software [Audi/VW/Skoda/Seat/CUPRA/Porsche] MHI2 MIB2/2.5 - ifs-root Patch Sammlung & Anfragen

I'm trying to update from P4172 to K5126 also. I have the same issue. When putting the card in, select software update -> SD card 1, All I see to update is StationLogoDB which I ran. I think it only updated Gracenote. I'm still on P4172 afterwards.

I want to update to the latest version K5126 before putting the patched K5126 on and then enable Android Auto. Can someone help please?

Surely it'd be better to upgrade to more recent firmware for bugfixes etc?
I've since found out I was going about it the wrong way.

I see that "MHI2_ER_POG11_P3299_MU0807" is already patched. However, my car has firmware "MHI2_ER_POG11_K3299_MU0807_PATCH". Will the P patched firmware also work on the K version? I think P stands for factory firmware and P for dealer-updated firmware. Thanks!

ExceptionList Update:
Bitte ersetzt eure ExceptionList.txt (EL) mit den neu in ab V 2.5.3 in M.I.B. hinterlegten Versionen.

@ Void20

"Copy MMX/RCC CoF, ErL & ScS (only AU) to SD1" auswählen

Morning! I've tried to enable Android Auto in my Porsche Macan. This did not work and was probably because I was running old firmware.

I've updated from MHI2_ER_POG11_K3299_MU0807 to MHI2_ER_POG11_K5126_MU1394 via Enginering menu. At the update device settings I left everything how was by default and Bose was checked (I did not know this had to be unchecked).

After this update the sound in my car is not working anymore... I have no clue how to fix this and I hope someone here is able to help me

(If there is a company reading this forum, I'm happy to pay for your services in order to make my sound work again)

So it was checked to „Bose“ and you don‘t have a Bose system?

I guess there is a good reason why the Porsche manual states you have to do the Firmware Upgrade with a factory tester (Piwis). Upgrading involves steps you have to perform with Piwis. This is why I do not recommend to attempt it if you don‘t have one available.. it does not give you any updates anyway, so why on earth upgrade?

I suggest you try to downgrade back again. FW update is normally not performed via GEM but the normal Engineering Menu, btw.

if it‘s just a coding issue (Bose enabled but no Bose installed) - it‘s an easy fix for anyone in your area with a Piwis 2 or 3.

Sorry for the confusion. I did use the engineering menu and do have a Bose soundsystem in my car.

I did upgrade because Android car was not working on my old firmware and I hope it would on a newer version.

I am not sure the FW version you installed is suitable for your car. Hard to tell why you screwed your sound, but if possible downgrade the FW back to your original version I still suggest.

The reason for AA not working is NOT the FW; my Macan has the same FW version like yours had. I have AA working!

In case you can manage to downgrade it back, there‘s 3 possible issues I experienced w/ 3 different cars so far:

1. cable. AA seams to work or not work in different cars, depending on cable used. Cable working in a GM car did not work in Porsche and vice versa with same phone
2. Phone settings. I‘ve seen AA users not having their phone set up properly. My old Android phone, only used for testing AA, had to go thru various update steps in order for it to work and connect with the PCM
3. AA not activated. I had to guide a friend remotely who had installed patch and EL, but not used the activation coding in MIB menu.. that was an easy fix.

My standard suggestion to verify patch and EL: look into the trip computer in PCM4. If it shows a new page for logbook, patch and EL have installed and seem to work..

re your sound issue - I cannot analyze and code your car remotely, so check if you can just get it back to old FW and settings first!
If this does not work - PCM needs to be coded at least. Automatic coding w/Piwis would likely immediately do the job as the settings required are mostly pulled out of the vehicle order, stored in your gateway.

Update: I x-checked with a friends Macan. He has the same FW version you have in his Macan, so the FW itself should in principle work for a Macan. His car was updated at some earlier point in time by the dealer as it was originally a US model.
